FAQ's
  • Why would I want to take my dog to doggy day care?

Doggy daycare allows your dog to socialize and play all day. Dogs are pack animals and when their pack at home is at work, your dog will enjoy spending time with our caring staff and other canine friends. You can even drop your dog off for a half day while you shop or run errands. A tired dog is ready to relax in the evening with his/her favorite person.

  • How does doggy day care work?

Your dog is invited to attend a free 4 hour evaluation/temperament test which will allow our trained staff to observe your dog in the group daycare setting. Your dog will be grouped by size, energy level and temperment. We require that this service be offered by appointment only. When your dog has found his group and is ready to attend daycare with his friends, we ask again that you schedule his daycare time by appointment only. We maintain a high pet to staff ratio and making an appointment allows us to provide appropriate staffing for the safety, fun, and comfort of your pet.

  • How does your overnight care work?

Dogs that are able to be integrated into a daycare group will play all day and then go into an oversized kennel at night to eat and rest. Your pet will stay with an overnight caretaker and will be taken out to potty on a regular basis. Dogs who do not enjoy the daycare group setting will rest comfortably in an oversized kennel. Your pet will receive four walks per day and individual play time and attention. There will be an additional $3.00 charge for dogs who need this specialized service.

  • What do I bring for my dog who is spending the night?

If you would like to bring your own crate and bedding for your pet that is ok. All that they really need is their food, treats, and any medications that need to be administered. There is no charge for administering medications. Toys will be provided. Any article of clothing or something from home with your smell on it will make your pet feel even more comfortable.

  • What kind of shots are required?

All dogs should have their yearly vaccinations: DHLPPC, Rabies, and bordetella,(kennel cough)which is a vaccination that you will have to ask your vet for because it is needed when dogs stay together in groups. Dogs that get titer tests will need to bring test results in lieu of vaccination records. Dogs should also be on heartworm and some sort of flea preventative.
